“School is in Session! We have three (3) Official School Zones in Media, and of course many smaller uses that see pedestrians and vehicles in the morning and afternoon commutes.
Drop Off and Pick Up times are cause of high alert and caution when driving around the school uses. Naturally, we also have school buses that meander through our streets for students all throughout Media. The School Zones speed limit drops to 15 mile per hours when the lights are flashing. With daycares, the Youth Center, after school programs, karate, dance, yoga, the Theater and other activities, we see a heavy volume of foot traffic.
Slow down! Stay alert! Pay attention! And please be respectful of police, crossing guards and other officials who are attending all of these movements.
