Our speed limit in Media Borough is 25 Miles per Hour. In our school zones, it drops to 15 during the day to protect our school-children during drop-off and pick-up times. Slowing down leads to safer streets. Slowing down leads to fewer accidents. Leading Transportation Authority’s such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the World Health Organization and our friends who promote “Vision Zero Initiatives” agree that slower speeds lead to safer streets.
As speeds increase, breaking distances increase, and reaction times are cut significantly. Just slow down!
Managing speeds is the Number One (1) priority to advance Vision Zero.
