To be considered for a Solicitor's Permit:
Non-Profit Organizations: Complete the attached applicable Solicitor's Permit Application form and submit to Borough Office.
Nonprofits that want to sell something in a particular location – (i.e. girls scouts)
- can be restricted to specific location
- do need a permit
- do not need a background check
- do not pay a fee
Nonprofits that are simply sharing information
- can’t be restricted to any location
- technically don’t need permit as their activity is covered under first amendment rights, but we still ask for them to fill out a permit
- do not pay a fee
For Profit Organizations: Complete the attached applicable Solicitor's Permit Application and submit along with a PA State Police Criminal Check (a form is attached) and fee.
Businesses that go door to door
- need background check
- must pay fee
- and need permit to do business in the borough
Businesses that want to sell something in a particular location

- can be restricted to a specific location
- do need a permit
- must pay fee
- need background check
$10 per person per day
$25 per person per week
$100 per person per month
$300 per person annual
