"Heritage Park is one of the many important locations in Media Borough. Living around the corner from the park, I had a firsthand look into the construction, often from my back patio deck!
Once Heritage Park was ready for an official opening in November 2021, I was ready to celebrate with neighbors and residents of Media! It was such an honor to be part of the celebration and meeting up with neighbors. Paying respects to the African American History in Media is truly important to me and I hope this town along with Delaware County never forgets their contributions. At a time when the importance of the African American experience is being questioned by some, it is important for communities like Media Borough stay in touch with the rich History of the past so we can build a better future."
