After multiple years of community and business outreach, the Plum Street Park design was completed in 2022 and can be found here. The Borough applied for and received $1 million in grants to help fund the project from various sources including, PA Office of the Budget Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant ($500k), PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources grant ($250k), and a Delaware County Greenways grant ($250k)
On June 20, 2024, Borough Council officially awarded the Plum Street Park project to DePaul and Company Inc. for a total capped construction cost of approximately $1,300,000. Construction is set to begin in July 2024 and is scheduled for completion by November 2024.
During this period, all of the businesses along Plum Street Park will remain open so we encourage our residents and visitors to continue to support our local restaurants and retail. We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation as we work to improve this valued public space. Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
