The Borough was incorporated in 1850. The Media Police Department was organized on January 9, 1877.

Our police officers and staff are dedicated to performing their jobs with superior service and honor. We strive to assist, police, and protect the residents of Media, the people who work here, and all visitors with integrity and professionalism. By taking a proactive approach toward security and crime prevention we work to keep "Everybody's hometown" a safe and friendly place.
