When effective; amendments
The unified fee schedule adopted as part of this article shall be effective immediately.
Any subsequent changes in the unified schedule shall be by resolution of this
Council, unless by ordinance a fee or charge is newly established; in such instance,
the fee or charge therein set forth shall be incorporated thereby in the unified
fee schedule.
Any such resolution of change shall be finally adopted only upon a second reading at two regular meetings of the Council. During the period of time between the first and second readings, the proposed change in fees shall be available for public inspection in the office of the Borough Secretary.
Conflicts
with other laws
All fees charged for licenses and permits now set forth
in any ordinance inconsistent with said fee schedule are hereby repealed. Such
action shall not invalidate the ordinance requiring the fee or charge to be paid
or license to be issued.
Schedule established
The unified fee
schedule is as follows:
A. Building permit fees: [Amended 12-16-1982]
Valuation of Work/Fee
$1 to $500=$15.00*
$501 to $1,000=$30.00*
Over $1,001=$30.00*, plus $15.00 for
each $1,000.00 of valuation or part thereof over the first $1,000.00
* The
Borough shall assess an additional fee of $4.00 on each
construction or
building permit issued in accordance with
Ordinance 990.
Escrow fees (refundable escrow to secure compliance)
Impact fees (will negotiate informally with applicant)
Building permit escrow fees (below listed or engineers projections of potential impact upon public facilities):

per block Damage to existing highways adjacent to project
where concrete
trucks and other heavy equipment
utilize Borough streets.

Damage to municipal infrastructure such as inlets,

$30, plus $10 per unit.
(b) Commercial/business: $30, plus $10 per unit.
(c) Motel/hotel/rooming house: $30, plus $5 per unit.
(2) Leased/rented/let
(occupancy changes):
(a) Residential dwellings: $30.
(b) Commercial/business
office: $30
Reinspection fee: $15
D. Housing fees: [Amended

Annual inspection fees shall be as
follows:

(1) Annual registration: $50.
(2) New
work:
(a) Up to five fixtures: $25.
(b) Each additional fixture: $5.
(c) Renewal or replacement of fixture: $3, plus $0.50 per
fixture.
F. Signs, permits for: $35. [Amended 12-20-2007 by Resolution #2007-10]
G. Street occupancy permit:
(1) Issuance fee: $20.
(2) Supplement fee: $10.
(3) Annual emergency permit card: $5.
(4) Cancellation of an unused permit: $5.
(5) Driveways:
(a) Residential driveways: $10
(b) Commercial driveways: $20.
(c)
Paving: $5.
(6) Subsurface and surface facility installations, conduit,
pipe
lines, etc.:
(a) Physically connected facility or facilities
of less than 50 feet in length: $20.
(b) Additional physically connected
facilities: $5.
(7) Facility openings: $50.
(8) Overhead facility
installations:
(a) Up to 10 physically connected aboveground facilities:
$20.
(b) Additional aboveground physically connected facilities:
$2.
(9) Crossings: $80.
(10) Moving objects across the highway: $50.
(11) Restoration charges. Description:
(a) Restoration of high-type
road construction: $50.
(b) In case of concrete pavement or concrete base,
where
complete reconstruction is not contemplated within one
year,
the minimum size of patch shall be four feet by four
feet, with a minimum
charge of $100.
H. Subdivision & Land Development Review Fees
(1) Filing Fee (non-refundable)
(a) residential: $100
(b) minor commercial:
$250
(c) major commercial: $500
(2) Review Fees (refundable escrow)
(a) residential: $750
(b) minor commercial: $2,000
(c) major commercial:
$4,000
(d) minimum cost of zoning/code enforcement review
- 4 hrs
@ 30/hr = $120
(e) minimum cost of engineers review
- 4 hrs @ 72/hr
= $288
For larger projects, costs to be projected by staff and engineer
and
drawn against escrow.
