Community Service Award

Recognizing and honoring volunteers sets a standard for service, encourages a sustained commitment to civic participation, and inspires others to make service a central part of their lives. The Media Borough Council “Community Service Award” recognizes individuals, families, and groups that have achieved a level of service to our community that represent the very best of “Everybody’s Hometown.”  Each calendar quarter, the Service Award will be presented at the monthly public legislative Borough Council meeting.

If you know of a resident, family or group that meet the following criteria, please contact Council Person Dawn Roe to nominate them for this award. Nominations will be presented to and voted on by Council and released 2 weeks prior to presentation.

• Living resident/family of Media or active borough organization
• Demonstrates a spirit of community service and volunteerism
• Activities benefit Media residents, community outreach, borough programs or other charitable causes
• Positive impact on the community

The commitment and contributions of our residents and groups are large parts of what make Media such a unique and vibrant community. Media Borough Council looks forward to honoring the many citizens and organizations that do so much to make Media a wonderful place to live and work.
