Use and Occupancy Inspections
The Borough of Media requires each dwelling/business to have a use and occupancy inspection performed prior to occupancy. This inspection is to ensure safety of persons who would be occupying such dwelling/business. A Certificate of Occupancy shall be issued after dwelling/business is in compliance with all codes. This inspection must be performed at the change of ownership and occupants. For more information please review Ordinance 914 of the general code.

Ordinance 723 of the Borough of Media requires the Code Enforcement Department to compile a list of all tenants that rent or lease property from landlords or property managers. Furthermore, all tenant changes during the year must also be reported to the Borough. See Ordinance 723 Application Form below.
